AISSATOU BALDE

Aissatou holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and has worked in various communication and marketing roles in the past. She was a digital strategist at Indiana Destination Development Corporation, where she developed and executed successful social media campaigns and analyzed website data to drive traffic and engagement. She was also the CEO and Founder of Tales and Turbans, where she worked with major national brands to develop and execute social media strategies, manage marketing processes, and generate cost savings. 

As the Associate Director of Development + Org Communications, Aissatou plays a key role in leading fundraising efforts, building strategic partnerships, and communicating our work externally to support the organization's mission. She works closely with RISE INDY's leadership team to develop and execute donor engagement strategies, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, and secure resources that advance RISE INDY’s initiatives and programs. Aissatou's expertise in fundraising, relationship management, and communication has been an invaluable asset to RISE as it continues to advocate for high-quality education for all children.

Aissatou believes in RISE's mission and is committed to making a positive impact in the community that she is a part of. Aissatou is a wife, girl mom, travel enthusiast, and a children’s book author.
