DUANE INGRAM

As a product of the public education system in Gary, IN, I believe access to quality education is a right, not a luxury and parents should feel empowered to fight for their children to have access to high quality options that best fit their child’s learning needs.

Duane Ingram is RISE INDY’s Vice President of Community Affairs and head of RISE’s Circle City Leaders program.

Duane is a community development professional and advocate with more than 15 years of experience in Indianapolis non-profits. He ran for Indianapolis City-County Council in 2019 in a Southside district where he lost by fewer than 300 votes. Duane successfully managed Kenneth Allen’s campaign for IPS At-Large school board campaign in 2020. Ingram serves in the Indianapolis community as the former President of the Citizens Police Complaint Board, current member of the Board of Public Health and Safety, an Indianapolis Foundation Fellow, and a Board Member at the Central Indiana Community Foundation.

As an Indiana University – Bloomington School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) graduate, Duane has a real passion for service and desire to see all people successful. Duane is a husband, father, mentor, and Dad Joke enthusiast.
