Jennifer Wagner Chartier is Vice President of Communications and Marketing at RISE INDY.
Chartier is a former Indianapolis Star reporter who has served as communications director for the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute and the Indiana Democratic Party as well as deputy director of public affairs for National Nuclear Security Administration under the Obama Administration.
As founding principal of Mass Ave Public Relations, she worked with a number of K-12 organizations, including Stand for Children, Democrats for Education Reform, the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning, and the IPS Board of Commissioners. She most recently served as Vice President of Communications for EdChoice, a national nonprofit.
Chartier has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University in Bloomington and a J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis. She lives in Downtown Indianapolis with her husband Michael, two children and two dogs.
