I joined RISE INDY because I felt identified with the mission. I believe all children deserve equality and a quality education. The best tool a child has to be equipped for the future is their education, this is the way to build a better future for our communities.
Born in El Salvador, Veronica studied Family Law at University Capitan General Gerardo Barrios in El Salvador. She has lived in Indiana for ten years and has completed an English as a Second Language Certification at Ivy Tech, as well as her Core 40 Diploma at The Excel Center. Veronica's experience working as a customer service associate built her ability to reach parents where they are, and give them the knowledge and skills to become powerful advocates for their children and their communities. Veronica is a Bilingual Organizer at RISE INDY, engaging and empowering parents in Center Township schools to take a more active role in their own children’s education, as well as the educational future of all Indianapolis students. She also engages the larger community in voter registration and activation efforts.
