I joined RISE INDY because I identified with the mission. I believe children deserve equality and quality education. The best tool a child has to be equipped for their future is their education, this is the way to build a better future for our community. I have been working with Latinx families since 2020 and my main function is to encourage Latinx families to get involved in supporting the academic development of our Latino students. I have three beautiful children and they are the ones who have given me the courage and inspiration to get more involved in education and advocate for better quality education for our children in our community.
